Atlantic City continues to have bragging rights to more than five miles of pristine beaches, a world-famous Boardwalk, 17,500 luxurious hotel rooms, 2.2 million square feet of meeting space, and centrally located within driving distance of 1/3 of the Nation’s population. - Ocean Casino Resort announced a $75 million property reinvestment in 2022 & Ilitch Organization received Regulatory Approval to operate in Atlantic City.
- Bally’s Corporation commits to spending $100 million to upgrade Bally’s Atlantic City. Bally’s has unveiled 750 renovated hotel rooms, a redone lobby and Carousel Bar, and an indoor/outdoor entertainment venue, The Yard.
- Caesars Entertainment is set to invest $400 million into its three Atlantic City resorts. Enhancements to Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort, and Tropicana Atlantic City are expected to be complete by 2023. This includes a Nobu Hotel tower and restaurant, The Hook, a live entertainment show in the location of the historic Warner Theatre, as well as, Spiegelworld's Superfrico dining concept.
- Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is reinvesting a minimum of $20 million in capital improvements that include suite renovations, a new Starbucks, more slots and table games, a new dining outlet, and a refresh of beachfront amenities.
- Resorts Casino Hotel has completed construction on their indoor/outdoor pool complex and is now open to hotel guests. Resorts is also investing $5 million into new table games and slot machines, remodeling its high-limit slots area, and creating a new VIP Asian-themed room.
- Showboat Hotel Atlantic City officially broke ground on their newest concept, ISLAND waterpark. Set to splash into Atlantic City in 2023.
- Stockton University broke ground for Phase II of the Atlantic City Campus, which will feature a residential dormitory expansion. The project is set for completion in 2023.
- AtlantiCare has completed the $38.3 million Medical Arts Pavilion. The CRDA donated the land at the corner of Ohio and Atlantic avenues, valued at $3 million, to AtlantiCare. It has pledged an additional $15 million in grant funding toward the project. The three-story, 69,700-square-foot facility will enable AtlantiCare to expand the care it provides.
- Atlantic City will play a big role in the offshore wind energy industry. Atlantic Cape Community College plans to open a wind energy workforce training center on its city campus, and wind developer Orsted hopes to start work in 2022 on a maintenance and operations center in Atlantic City to support its offshore wind projects in the area.
- North Beach Mini Golf is now open. Located a few blocks from the Absecon Lighthouse and offers an 18-hole miniature golf course and bike rentals.
- Colosseo Atlantic City Inc., the development firm that owns the former Atlantic Club hotel and casino in the Chelsea neighborhood plans to renovate the property with luxury condos and a 330-room "branded" high-end boutique hotel coming in 2025.
