Two new art exhibitions are appearing at the Noyes Arts Garage now through September 29 - The Art of Storytelling and Abhijeet Shrivastava.
The Art of Storytelling group exhibition, features Christina Johnson, Elsa Wachs, Linda Dublin Garfield, Marcie Mehrman Ziskind, Sandi Neiman Lovitz, Susan Leonard, and Valetta. Stories convey the culture, history, and values that unite people. They can be told visually and artists use color, line, gesture, composition, and symbolism to tell a story. A picture does tell a thousand words.
Hailing from the heart of India, Bhopal, where Abhijeet Shrivastava first kindled his profound passion for self-expression through charcoal drawings on paper, the exhibit will challenge perceptions. Abhijeet’s art aspires to awaken reverence for our environment and galvanize a shared commitment to safeguarding our planet for future generations.

The event begins with a Catholic Mass at Noon in the Etess Arena (doors open at 11 am) celebrating the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, followed by the Blessing of the Sea ceremony at 1:30 pm with the wreath tossed by Bishop Dennis Sullivan at the surf at Pennsylvania Avenue. The ceremony is free and open to the general public. All are welcome!
