Once again in April, events at the Atlantic City Convention Center proved to be a popular draw for delegates. While the Center hosted the same number of conventions, meetings and tradeshows in April 2012 and 2013 - seven - they drew 12,388 delegates this April, a 16% increase over April 2012. Room night associated with those events jumped by 279% to 7,074 this April, as opposed to 1,866 last April. Room nights for Convention Center tradeshows are up 9% year to date.

The Atlantic City Airshow is making a move to an earlier summer date when it takes place on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Greater Atlantic City Chamber President Joseph Kelly made the announcement.

It’s the great granddaddy of them all – the first boardwalk, ever, built in 1870 to keep sand out of the hotel lobbies lining the beach strand in the fledgling resort of Atlantic City, NJ. It’s the longest boardwalk in the world, just over four miles. It’s so important to the city that it’s a legal street and is, therefore, capitalized (as in “Atlantic City Boardwalk”).
