Atlantic City invites travelers to take part in a variety of festive events, resort packages and restaurant offerings this holiday season. Ranging from traditional Thanksgiving meals to Christmas concerts, parades and celebrations, the city that’s “Always Turned On” presents a full list of entertainment offerings.


A preview of select special events that will be taking place in Atlantic City for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays includes:


Thanksgiving Dinner at Knife & Fork Inn

Serving Thanksgiving Dinner from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 25, the Knife & Fork, one of Atlantic City’s most historic restaurants, will offer guests a $38 four-course traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Meal will include soup, salad, turkey and trimmings, as well as a final dessert course. Kids 12 and under can enjoy the four-course menu for just $17. Happy Holidays – A Magical Celebration Revue Show at Tropicana

Providing guests with the popular music of the season, Happy Holidays – A Magical Celebration Revue Show will take place from November 8 through December 16 in the Tropicana Showroom. Featuring four singers and 17 dancers, show will include performances of “Winter Wonderland,” “Santa Clause is Coming to Town,” “Oh Holy Night,” “Santa Baby” and more. Santa Clause and Frosty the Snowman will also make special appearances during the show. Tickets start at $25 and are available at the Tropicana Box Office or through Ticketmaster. Atlantic City Christmas Parade at Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk

The Annual Atlantic City Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, November 27 at 11 a.m. along Atlantic and Michigan Avenues, with the procession ending at Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk. For the second year, The Walk will support the efforts of The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department “Toys for Kids” drive for which volunteers will be on-site to collect toys and cash donations. Holiday Light Show in Smithville, NJ

Running from December 2, 2010 through January 2, 2011, visitors can watch the Holiday Light Show, which showcases over 100 Christmas trees floating on Lake Meone. Event includes an orchestrated show of lights accompanied by music that is played across the lake. Admission is free and show takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays. Story Time with Santa at the Atlantic City Aquarium

Located in the heart of the Historic Gardner’s Basin, the Atlantic City Aquarium will host Story Time with Santa on Tuesday, December 7 at 11 a.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, ages 4-12. For more information, call 609-348-2880 or visit http://www.acaquarium.com.


Kenny Rogers “Christmas and Hits Show” at Trump Taj Mahal

Kenny Rogers will return to Xanadu Theatre at Trump Taj Mahal on Saturday, December 11 with the “Christmas and Hits Show.” Tickets start at $75 and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Holiday Celebration at Absecon Lighthouse

Absecon Lighthouse will host a holiday celebration beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 11 during which a professional a cappella caroling group will sing carols of the season and there will be an official Christmas tree lighting. Afterwards, guests can do some holiday shopping in the gift shop or participate in a lighthouse climb to view the Atlantic City skyline. Tickets are available for $25 per person. Tony Boloney’s Pizza Making Classes

Offering the chance to leave Santa and his Reindeer something other than the traditional gift of milk and cookies, Tony Boloney’s will hold Pizza Making Classes every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Classes provide a brief history of the Atlantic City Inlet and the traditional techniques used when making a pizza, followed by a hands-on lesson of how to make a pizza from scratch. Holiday Parties at The Melting Pot

For those wishing to play host without the post-party clean-up, The Melting Pot offers the perfect solution. In keeping with the holiday spirit, the restaurant will donate $10 per party guest to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Colonial Inn’s Holiday Light Show Package in Smithville, NJ

Available for Sunday through Thursday stays from November 28 through December 30, The Colonial Inn is offering guests who book a two-night stay, fifty percent off the second night when the first is booked at rates starting at $163.50.
