The Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority’s (ACCVA) Web site has been honored with two awards presented by the International Academy of Visual Arts. The Web site, www.atlanticcitynj.com, was honored with a Silver Award in the 2009 W3 Awards, and with a 2009 Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards.

Receiving nearly 3,000 entries, The W3 Awards honors outstanding Web sites, Web Marketing, and Web Video created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. The W3 Awards are recognized as the first major Web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies.

The 2009 Communicator Awards received 7,000 entries from across the US and around the world, making it the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals. Entries were judged on their merits against a standard of excellence based on the 14-year history of The Communicator Awards.

Both awards are presented by The International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. Current members include: Condè Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Keller Crescent, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Tribal DDB, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, Yahoo!, and many others.

Most recently, the ACCVA also received an Outstanding Achievement in Internet Advertising Award for its 2008 holiday leisure campaign in the 2009 Web Awards.
