Flying to the Jersey Shore? Don’t be surprised if your Jersey Shore getaway leads you to the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), which hosts more than one million airline passengers annually. Commercial carriers serving the A.C. International Airport include Spirit Airlines, AirTran Airways and WestJet.
Spirit Airlines started providing daily flights between Boston and Atlantic City in May 2009. People who travel by air to Atlantic City will now have direct service to the New England region. Beginning May 2010, Spirit will offer seasonal service between Detroit and Atlantic City.
AirTran Airways also began service to Atlantic City in June 2009, expanding roundtrip nonstop flights between Atlantic City and Atlanta International Airport. AirTran connects to more than 35 destinations through Atlanta, including Orlando, Los Angeles, and Dallas/Ft. Worth, making it easier for residents of the Jersey shore to connect with other destinations.
WestJet, a Canadian-based low-cost air carrier, will begin seasonal service between Atlantic City and Toronto in October 2009, connecting to cities throughout Canada.
Among the amenities at the Atlantic City airport are a gift shop and newsstand, a bar and two restaurants offering sandwiches, snacks and beer. The Atlantic City International Airport also houses a TD Bank ATM. Ground transportation options at the A.C. International Airport include car rentals (Avis, Budget and Hertz), taxis, limousines and shuttles. The TransIt link offers public transportation from the Atlantic City airport to the Pleasantville Bus Terminal and NJ Transit buses.
The Atlantic City International Airport is owned by the South Jersey Transportation Authority. A $40 million terminal and taxiway expansion project began at the Atlantic City Airport in 2005.

Parking lots at the A.C. International Airport offer round-the-clock parking seven days a week. A free shuttle service stops at five locations within the airport’s parking lots and provides transportation for passengers traveling on the earliest to the latest flights.
The customer service desk opens from 5 am till 6 pm daily.
Atlantic City International Airport Parking Fees
Short Term Parking is $1 per hour of parking, with a $13/day maximum. Daily Garage Parking is $12/day and Economy Parking is $8/day. Travelers may pay for parking through the ticketless E-Ticket Express or else at the terminal payment station.
